What inspired you to combine your work as a psychotherapist and entrepreneur to create Pameluna Inc?

As I was looking for my niche and what I wanted to put forth as an entrepreneur I realized that I wanted to use my experience and knowledge in the Mental health field somehow. As I discussed with fellow entrepreneurs what the obstacles in their journeys looked like, I learned that imposter syndrome, self-doubts, and inner struggles were common factors. This is when I decided to merge my expertise in therapy with my experience as an entrepreneur to help other creatives from the ground level and their inner world to then establish a better path to follow for their businesses and digital presence .

How has your personal journey influenced the approach you take in helping creatives and entrepreneurs?

During my first few years in entrepreneurship, I felt lost, needing guidance, and despite enrolling in several courses that provided me with very helpful tools, something was still missing. Realizing that I could use the 1:1 approach I use with therapy clients, I decided to implement it in a mentorship format to provide a personalized service to entrepreneurs and creatives. Additionally, the inner work I’ve done, my journey in therapy, exploring different paths of wellness and productivity, healthier habits and was to create from the ground up are all aspects that influence the way that I do and my approach in guiding and helping others.

What challenges did you face while building your business, and how did you overcome them?

In entrepreneurship as a whole, there is no guide, there is no set of rules to follow, and everything is very much trial and error. As someone who is very much used to systems and steps to follow this was a particular challenge. At the same time, it taught me to approach entrepreneurship from a curiosity perspective, playing with it, trying different things, and allowing myself to follow different paths until I reached the system I now provide to my clients.

Can you share a specific experience where you helped a client overcome their limiting beliefs?

I’d say one of my most recent clients, a Wellness instructor who has been providing yoga, breathwork, and sound healing services for years while working in corporate, and who was still taking the hobby approach with her business. It was beautiful to explore this and realize this was tied to other beliefs and limitations related to money and upbringing. By navigating these aspects of her life, and helping her realize the worth of her services, she is now offering these services at a cost that equates to the worth of what she puts out there.

How has your background as a Venezuelan immigrant shaped your approach to entrepreneurship and mental health?

Especially during these crucial and challenging times for Venezuelans as a whole, I can speak of our perseverance and resilience as a collective. Especially living abroad while navigating the current climate back home, Mental Health has also become a priority for me. It’s by having these elements at the forefront of who I am and what I do that I can better understand, empathize, and work on these topics with each client I mentor, in a personalized way.

What are some common self-imposed obstacles you see among entrepreneurs, and how do you guide them through these challenges?

Primarily the belief that what they have to offer is not good enough; thinking that there’s either too much of it out there and nobody would be interested in a new business related to it, or that others can do it much better than they can. Helping clients see that there is only one of them, and even if similar products or services exist, nobody will ever do it like them, we’ve been able to build confidence not only in their businesses but in themselves.

How do you maintain your own mental health and well-being while managing multiple roles as a therapist, entrepreneur, and content creator?

It’s been a struggle at times; I’ve had to do a lot of inner work to get to a point where I truly prioritize myself and my self-care. I’ve also had to learn to better prioritize my responsibilities in each aspect of my life, as well as learn to say no when I’m unable to fully provide the best of me. I think it’s not only important to prioritize ourselves but also be mindful of the purpose behind what we do over taking as many clients as possible. It’s about quality over quantity always for me.

What advice would you give to women who are struggling with self-doubt in their entrepreneurial journeys?

You’re not alone; I know it sounds cliche but it’s much more common than people believe, and it doesn’t stop after you’ve “made it”. Even women who have established businesses and are recognized for what they do, struggle with self-doubt. It’s daily work, it has a lot to do with inner development, and also sitting with those repetitive thoughts and realizing what it’s trying to tell us. Sometimes, when I’ve decided to face those thoughts I’ve found that they’re trying to warn me of areas where I could be more cautious or go further and try harder than I have, and it ends up guiding me to success.

How do you integrate your experience as a licensed social worker into your entrepreneurial coaching?

As a Licensed Social Worker, I’ve learned to wear many hats and constantly ask myself “what more can I do” or “how can I do this differently than how it’s been done before”. It’s this same approach I bring when working with an array of creatives in different niches, categories, areas of interest, and more. A constant question I ask myself is “How can I personalize my services and adjust them to the specific needs of each of my clients?” and it ends up taking me on the right path.

What role does your podcast, Esperando la Señal, play in your overall mission, and what message do you hope to convey through it?

Esperando la Señal is my literal baby; it’s the aspect of my business I enjoy the most because it not only allows me to further expand in topics I discuss on my other digital platforms and with my clients, but also as I’ve had the opportunity to invite special guests and experts for some episodes, it allows me to provide a platform to them while also getting different approaches and ways of exploring different topics relevant to entrepreneurs and creatives. In terms of an overall message, I’d want listeners and viewers to see that you can always start with what you have. When ELS began, I was recording short episodes in my bedroom with no prior knowledge or sense of how to grow this idea; fast forward to almost 3 years of non-stop weekly content, and despite not being where I want to be just yet, I can see that taking that first step, being consistent, and having a sense of direction and a defined purpose in mind, you can truly do it all.

How do you stay motivated and inspired in your work, especially during difficult times?

Taking it back to what we are living back in Venezuela at this time, it’s been hard to keep the work going while our minds are with our people back home. I also appreciate being busy in things that I enjoy such as my work with clients, content creation, events, my podcast, and much more. I’ve learned to adapt to obstacles, to feel the feels, to process my thoughts and emotions, and also understand when it’s necessary to take a break and hit the pause button the rest, regroup, and restart.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your work with Pameluna Inc.?

Being able to have a direct impact in each of the clients I help and mentor; seeing their progress from the first session, empathize and connect with each of their stories, as well as learn from each of them. It feels like a beautifully organic give and take where we all win

How has New York City influenced your personal and professional growth?

New York is where I’ve become my own person; since I moved here from Venezuela in 2011 after I had just turned 18, and ever since, I’ve lived a whole life and so many stages that have brought me to who I am. From my early adult days, finding myself as a college student and following a linear path, to my mid-late 20s having a understanding that I don’t know it all and also that I can change my mind at any point. These are aspects that guided me to entrepreneurship and building something on my own.

What are some key strategies you use to help clients create a personalized action plan for their business?

In my 1:1 sessions, I use a system where we first Identify and heal inner obstacles such as imposter syndrome, doubts, fears, self sabotage… We then Establish specific goals aligned with one entrepreneurial objective (better digital presence, new launch for your business, new offers or courses…). Finally, we Design your personalized action plan (specific steps to follow in a suggested period of time in order to provide structure to your journey during and after our time working together). This structure allows me to guide my clients from within, at the very core of themselves as entrepreneurs as well as human beings, and then be able to build their businesses from the ground up.

What message would you like to share with women who are trying to find themselves in their careers and lives?

Bet on yourself, always! It’s ok to realize you don’t want to follow a certain path anymore, a certain job, a certain career, a certain life. You can pivot and rerout your path, you can start over, you can learn new things, you can revisit old habits, you can create a new way of doing and being that works specifically for you!
