My Girl

I search her

beautiful green eyes with mine

they’re not

green like grass

not jade

not sage

a very specific green that

I’ve only seen in the

glimmer shown in her eyes when

she looks into the sun

I run my fingertips across

her golden brown skin

skin kissed by the sun on a

hot summer day in the

midst of June

warm to the touch

and soft as ever

I trace the shape of

her lips with my thumb

feel how soft and

sweet they are with my own

her kiss is

so intoxicating,

addicting

She’s so beautiful,

beautiful in

every single way

not a single flaw that

my naked eye can see

she’s absolutely

perfect to me.
