4 Practical Ways to Relax Without Much Time or Effort

April 5, 2025

Nobody gets through life without a bit of stress, and this comes from plenty of areas. Work, relationships, family life, and more than few of these could cause a lot more stress than you’d want. But that doesn’t mean you’ve to settle for it.

There are more than a few ways to relax, and these could have a whole lot more of an impact than you’d think.

Have Some ‘Me’ Time

Having some ‘me’ time is always one of the better paths to take because of the impact it has. It lets you focus on you while actually being able to relax. And, this can come in more than a few ways. Even something as simple as having some CBD (like from cbdMD) and watching a movie could be enough for this.

It’s just a matter of figuring out what ‘me’ time looks like for you. Whatever helps you relax, destress, and enjoy yourself is worth going for. As long as you’re doing it regularly, there’s no reason why it wouldn’t pay off.

Connect With Loved Ones

Having a support network of loved ones is always recommended, as it gives you a way to destress and feel better about yourself without needing to put much effort into it. Even spending time with them helps. It’s just a matter of actually connecting with them and having this network in place.

Sometimes, this doesn’t even have to be as hard as you’d think. While spending time with them should always be a priority, even just catching up with them over the phone could be more than enough.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Work is one of the more notable areas that could cause a lot of stress. A lot of this could be because you’re struggling to get your job done on time and to a high standard. You’ll find yourself working harder and harder because of that, causing you even more stress. This isn’t a great approach to take.

You’re much better off working smarter. This should let you get your job done faster and more efficiently while still maintaining the overall quality of your work. And, it’ll help you avoid more than a bit of stress.

Accept What You Can’t Change

There’ll be plenty of situations, people, and other areas that cause you stress. While you’ll be able to change some of these, it doesn’t mean you can change all of them. This can often cause even more stress, making it even worse. That means you need to change your mindset about them.

You’ll need to accept what you can’t change and that it’s outside of your control. If you’re stressed about your company downsizing, for example, focus on looking for a new job and similar areas you can control instead of the fact it’s downsizing.

There are more than a few ways to relax you can try, and these don’t need to take nearly as much time or effort as you’d think. With a bit of effort, they’ll pay off more and more.
