Gluten Free And Vegan French Toast


60 mL Apple sauce
30 ml Rice milk (any milk substitute such as almond, soy, coconut, cashew)
3-4 slices Egg-Free & Gluten free bread

1. Add apple sauce into large mixing bowl
2. Add rice milk to apple sauce and whisk until uniform mixture
3. Place a frying pan or crêpe pan on burner
4. Turn on burner to medium (3-4) setting, test with a few drops of water to ensure pan is hot
5. Pour 5mL oil into the crêpe pan, spread around with a flipper
6. Dip each slice of bread into the applesauce & rice milk mixture coating both sides and place into the pan
7. Cook until golden brown on both sides (approx. 3 min per side)
8. Place onto plates and serve with cinnamon and maple syrup
