With this year, coming to an end a lot of us are seeking to achieve a new goal. The good news is YOU can do it! It is not the size of the goal that’s unattainable. In fact, it is asking yourself what is stopping you from going all the way?
Merriam Webster defines tenacity as the quality of being persistent, adhering to, or seeking something valued or desired. It does not matter is for you or against you. All that matters is you have the will-power to go after it.
New York Times best-selling author, Richard Paul Evans states, “Everyone who got to where they are had to begin where they were.” Dare to dream. With a boost of confidence, you can achieve the unknown and unexpected.
Don’t believe me. Just look at the 2016 President-elect Donald Trump. Here are 4 things Trump has done in his career that you can do to make your dreams come to reality:
- Love what you do and do what you love. Trump was able to expand his real-estate investments. He went from real-estate tycoon to expanding into entertainment, tourism and books. Once you recognize what you are good at find ways to repeat it.
- Get passed the fear of not being qualified or having specialized experience. Trump is a businessman with no expertise in international affairs or politics. And yet his acumen as a businessman was able help him go after the role of Chief of State.
- Be confident. When it comes to self-esteem Trump may do it better than Kanye West. That’s right, Trump had a relenting passion to not give up. I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and do the same.
- Be real — there’s power in authenticity. People who are likeable are those that are themselves. As a successful businessman Trump, always projected a sense of being true whether it was liked or not. Project exactly who you wish to be and others will certainly take notice.
I leave you with this, stare adversity in the face and know you have the potential to be accomplish any task. For dreams have no size just doers that attack them.
