Identity In Christ

Hey my lovelies, I hope you had an amazing week! I’m so excited for you to read this next blog and can’t wait to hear what the Lord has done for you. I wanted to share with you a little bit about what I’ve been learning these past weeks, and I hope it benefits you too.

My friend introduced me to this speaker from Bethel Church in Redding, California named Abi Stumvoll. Let me just tell y’all, Abi is amazing. I was really struggling with what topic I was supposed to write on. I would start something, but I wouldn’t have peace about it, so I started it over and over again. This happened 6 times! When writing about how to be confident in yourself and in God, you can attack it in so many different ways. I felt God tugging at me to watch this video called, “Learning to Love Yourself Well.” I swear it was like 6 minutes long, but in those 6 minutes I knew what I was supposed to write about. I was supposed to write about identity and how sometimes the enemy sucks us into to believing his lies about us. When we are walking with the Lord the enemy likes to try and kick us off our path and whisper into our ears. He tries to tell you that you’re not worthy, that you’re not beautiful enough, or skinny enough.

BUT YOU ARE LOVED, BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.

The video stated the enemy tries to speak into our life, he whispers lies and keeps saying them to us until we finally believe them. When you believe those dang lies, you are pushing down your passions and amazing gifts that the Lord is trying to bring up in you. Then you end up losing confidence in yourself. The word confidence means, “the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; to have FIRM TRUST.” To have trust in God you have to be confident that YOU are God’s masterpiece, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, that you were created in His image.

The reason why you have value is because of what God says about you, not what other people say about you or what the enemy says about you.

The bible says in Ephesians 2:10, “We are Gods masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Psalms 139:14 says,” I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

I want to challenge y’all to ask the Lord how he sees you, go into a quiet place and ask him. So next time when the enemy comes and tries to whisper lies to you, you will not believe them because you will know who you are. When you are first learning to hear from God go into a room, whether it’s a closet, your car or your room, put on some worship music, and just sit and rest in His presence. Sometimes all we have to do to hear God’s voice is just sit, be still and just rest in Him. Sometimes the enemy wants us to be so busy that we don’t have “time” for our quiet time. Or he makes it seem like we don’t have time to spare. Trust me I am the queen of staying busy and working. But I want to challenge y’all to make that little time, set an alarm and maybe just start with 1 minute and then move up. But having that time with God is extra special and much needed sometimes.

I can’t wait to hear what the Lord has done in y’all’s life! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I also love feedback so let me know what you thought about this post. I love y’all dearly and am praying for you.

Stay fabulous,

Brittany

The bible talks about how we are loved and beautiful and so much more in God’s eyes.
The reason why you have value is because of what God says about you, not what other people say about you or what the enemy says about you.
In this blog, I want woman of all ages to feel loved, cherished, chosen and many other great things and to learn to be that confident woman who God intended for us to be.
